The Pearl, is a prominent landmark in the Icelandic capital of Reykjavík. It is situated on the top of Öskjuhlíð hill. What was originally a cluster of hot water tanks was in 1991 converted to a building open to the public.

It hosts an exhibition, a planetarium, an observation deck, coffee shop and a restaurant.

In 2010 a young chef from Húsavík, was awarded Chef of the year 2010 in Iceland.

The young chef, Gústav spent months traveling around Iceland looking for the real taste of Iceland, along the way he found a few things that are key items of the interior of the restaurant.
